VL507i User Information

Video conversion for VL507i
  1. In order to be able to play video files, you will need to use the program that is on the player. Connect your player to your computer using the provided USB connector. Select the 2.0 Tools folder and run the setup.exe.
  2. Once the setup is complete, click on "start" on your Windows tool bar, select All Programs, then MP3 Player Utilities, lastly click on AMV convert tool.
  3. Click on the "Input file" icon to find the file that you are looking to covert and click on "Output file" icon to save the file to a desired folder.
  4. Now click on the icon with two arrows (tool tip will show "Begin" if you put your cursor on the arrows) to start the conversion. Once the conversion is done the file will play with the AMV player. Note: The program has "help" files you can click on for further information; it is the square box next to the two arrows.
  5. If your player is connected while running the converter, a pane on the right side will allow you to transfer the converted AMV file onto your player automatically upon conversion. Check the "copy to AMV file" box and select a folder using the "AMV" path button directly below it. Or just connect the Visual Land player to your computer, it should show up as a removable disc. Locate the AMV file on your computer, copy and paste (or drag & drop) the AMV file onto the removable disc.
  6. To access the AMV file from your Visual Land player, go onto the "Movie" menu of the player, the file should show up. Press "Play" to play the AMV file.

Putting Files on Your Player
  1. Plug in your official Visual Land mp3 player to your PC with the included USB cable.
  2. Locate your player on the PC by opening 'My Computer', it should show up as an extra drive. Open the player drive.
  3. Locate the directory where the files you want on the player are located on your PC, and open that folder.
  4. Click and hold on the desired file to transfer, and then "Drag" it over to the player's external drive folder, and unclick to 'drop' the file onto the player.
  5. Your Visual Land Players does not support synching with Windows Media Player, iTunes, MusicMatch, or any other programs. Simply use the process above to put files on your.
  6. Your VL-507i accepts subfolders. Simply right click inside the external drive folder and choose "New" then choose "Folder"
  7. Do not create subfolders within subfolders, because your player will not be able to read these files. If you want to make more subfolders, simply create them inside the removable disk drive main folder.

I can't fit more than 99 files on my player!
  1. Most Visual Land players have a 99-file limit, in order to bypass this issue just create some subfolders through your PC, on your player, and that should solve the problem. Please see "Putting Files on Your Player" on how to create subfolders.

Firmware
  1. All Visual Land players ship with the most up to date firmware.
  2. DO NOT DOWNLOAD FIRMWARE FROM ANY THIRD PARTY. If you find firmware anywhere besides this site, do not download it to you player. Third party firmware's will destroy your player and offer no new features.
  3. If we do update the firmware, it will be uploaded here, and you will be able to download it directly from this page.
  4. Downloading any firmware from anyone but Visual Land will void your warranty.
